The Bible is very clear that one of the primary purposes of the church is to equip the saints “for the work of the ministry” (Ephesians 4:12). People who are committed to Jesus Christ should be on a journey of life-long growth through the study of the word of God in a culture of Christ-exalting friendships. Notice that we didn’t stop at the study of the word of God. Many Christians do and fall short of what God truly intended them to be part of.
